On yesterday as I walked my dog, it started pouring down rain. I can’t really say it came out of nowhere because it was a bit cloudy and I expected that it would rain. Just not as I walked my dog. As a matter of fact, I thought we could ‘beat’ the rain and get our morning walk in. Nope, didn’t happen.
As the rain started to fall I was about a half a mile away from home and there was no where to ‘get out of the rain’. So I had to make a decision. Do I walk in anger damning the rain or do I play. I chose to PLAY!!!!!! And I’m so glad I did cause I had the most fun. I think Caine (my dog) did too.
When I got home and dried us both off, I was reminded that life is very similar to what I experienced that morning. There are days when the weather is ‘perfect’. Then there are days when the rain seems to come from out of nowhere. I say ‘out of nowhere’; however, it’s never out of nowhere. And in this thing called life, we have choices. And those choices gets us where ever we are today. If we choose unhealthy eating habits, we choose illness for our bodies. If we choose unhealthy relationships, we choose emotional distress. If we choose to spend rather than save, we choose financial debt. If we choose to disconnect from Source, we choose to live miserably. We can either damn our lives or we can just play.
Some people may think I’m crazy and say, when it ‘rains’ there is no time for play. Life Is Serious, they would say. My answer….it’s as serious as you make it. How would you live if I told you that everything you experience, good and bad is all made up? How would you live if I told you that it’s all make believe and you are the maker and the believer? How would you live if you KNEW these things to be true for you? Would you continue to damn your life with your thoughts, beliefs and actions? Or would you simply Play In The Rain?
As with everything in life, the choice is yours. I’m choosing not only to Play, I’m choosing to Play, Enjoy and Win!!!!!!
