Wheel of Fear

Fearless living does not mean that you will never experience fear.  There’s no such thing as that.  Fearless living is practicing your ability to overcome that which you fear each and every time you are presented with the opportunity.  The practice of fearless living is not about fighting or resisting your fears.  Once you begin to fight or resist, you become victim to what you are fighting and resisting.  In short, what you resist…PERSISTS.  The more you resist something, the more opportunities you create to KEEP resisting it.  The moment you begin to struggle with whatever you fear….IT OWNS YOU!!!

One way to slow down the wheel of fear is to determine the real-ness of what you fear.  One thing for sure…… the FEEL of fear is REAL; yet the WHY is a LIE.  The heart palpitations, the sweaty hands, the dry mouth, and the rush of adrenalin…..ALL of that is real.  However, the WHY is all in your IMAGINATION.  You can not have psychological fear without negative imagination.  What this means is that at the very moment that you feel fear, your mind is telling you what you are experiencing.  The ironic thing is that your mind is projecting NEGATIVELY about what you are experiencing and because your mind is sleep unto itself, it says….”OH NO, what do I do?  I know….BE AFRAID!!!”

You may ask…where do the negative projections come from and that would be a GREAT question.  The answer….they come from your PAST experiences.  They come from your SUBconscious mind.  Most of us only use 5% of our CONSCIOUS minds.  This means the majority of us are living 95% of our lives from MEMORY or past experiences.   It is those past experiences or memories that keep us in a fearful state.  Instead of being ACTIVE in our lives and living fearlessly, we are REACTIVE and live fearful.  We are not meant to live our lives compared to everything it sees.  We are not meant to RE-live moments of our lives over and over again.  We are meant to be PRESENT.  We are meant to live IN THE MOMENT of NOW.

How do I begin to live fearlessly?  The way out is THROUGH.  Feel the fear, notice what your mind is telling you about what you fear, and then walk through it.  Remember the scripture Psalms 23:4 KJV?  “Yea, though I walk THROUGH the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil…”  Keep in mind that you are not walking through the CONDITION that your SUBCONSCIOUS mind is telling you is there, you are walking through what your CONSCIOUS mind KNOWS is there…an opportunity for growth.  It’s when you come into that reality; you are able to live an authentically fearless life.
